I was reading Cherrrybomb's diary today and am now feeling a bit sappy and nostalgic. The two of you who actually read this journal or my web page on occasion may have figured out by now that I recently bought a new car. I wrote an essay in regard to the lost love of my old car. Cherrrybomb inspired me. So, thanks Cherrry (and also thanks for the note in my guestbook)! :) So, the good news today is that Iraq has agreed to allow UN Inspectors full and unconditional access in their efforts to uncover any hidden weapons or weapons' capabilities. Shall we pray that this works out? I had my first work-related class last night. It was OK. It's going to be boring as all hell, but it will be very good for me and it only lasts ten weeks. I can survive that long. No cuties in the class though, and the teacher makes this strange exhaling-through-his-nose sound on a consistent basis. You know how some people constantly sniff their noses? He does the opposite - he constantly makes little exhaling-puff sounds through his nose... My weekend was a groovy one. Friday night I skipped school. Hated to do it, but it had to be done. I needed to work on making the pad look presentable because on Saturday I had a few people over for a Pampered Chef party (evidently, I turned in to a girlie-girl somewhere along the line...). Anyway, so Sat. morning I went to have breakfast with my folks. I was there for about 90 minutes, then went to get my hair done. I'm irritated with Jeri, the gal who does my hair. My hair is all DARK. I don't know what she's done, but my hair is not supposed to be this dark. Now I REALLY look pale. Ergh... After getting the gray on my head covered up by what has turned out to be a reddish shade of sludge, I went shopping at four different stores and arrived home at approx. 12:30pm. Then I got to work on my apartment again. It looked presentable for my party - not perfect, but sufficient. It really is looking nifty these days, I must say. Can't wait 'til I win Lotto and can buy all of the furnitute I still want. The P. Chef party went pretty well. Cathy, Barbara and Amy all stayed over until about 10:30 and we just drank wine, munched and gabbed. It was groovy. John got to my place shortly after everyone left. He brought more mota. :) So Sunday we went to the mall where he bought me an Ionic Breeze Air Purifier from Sharper Image. God Bless him. I've wanted one of those forever. I still want a second one for my living room, but hey - at least I have one in my bedroom. :) He also put the license plates on my new car for me. He left on Sunday at a reasonable hour for once - like 6:30pm or so. Then I cheated on him with Tony Soprano. And those, my friends, are the exciting details of my recent days. |
