somebody out there loves me

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

I have dreams.

Im not talking about dreams of winning Super Lotto or singing back-up for U2 or having George Clooneys babies, although I am open to any of these options. Im talking about real, sleep-inspired, REM-state dreams. And some themes tend to recur.

Ive never had that dream that most people have wherein you show up for your High School History class completely nekkid or for your Psychology exam totally unprepared or with a pencil that keeps breaking and all of that.

Ive never had the dream where Im flying or have fallen off a cliff only realize that I have the ability to do so. That dream sounds rather fun and Id like to have it, actually. What kind of issues must one be dealing with in order to have that dream? If someone can tell me, Ill see what I can do to talk myself in to them.

Ive never even had a dream about a cigar or a tunnel.

What I do have are dreams of being chased. Sometimes my dreams look like a scene out of Night of the Living Dead with zombie-dudes chasing me; sometimes a scene from a James Bond flick. The funny thing is that I rarely get scared by these dreams. Im just being chased no big whoop.

Another recurring theme is flooding or water getting out of control. Ill be driving or walking around in these dreams and ocean waves are breaking where theyre not supposed to be like in the middle of a strip mall. I'm usually driving around, trying to get out of the Tsunami area. Im interested to know what these dreams may mean and have been trying to keep track of whats going on in my life when I have them, but while the dreams may recur, whatever emotional or psychological drama I may be going through does not.

I once had a dream that a whale at a Sea World-type park went nuts and started jumping like nobodies business until he finally jumped out of his tank/prison. Youd think the zombies chasing me would scare me, but no this dream scared me. It seemed as if the whale was specifically mad at me. He was giving me the evil eye, like the Orca who went after Richard Harris in that stupid movie of the same name. I wonder sometimes, though, if the water was really the crucial element of that dream, seeing as I have so many flood dreams.

I also have a lot of dreams wherein I am desperately attempting to telephone somebody and I keep dialing the wrong number or I cant quite seem to punch the numbers correctly and have to keep hanging up to start over. I never do reach the person I need. My sister has that dream a lot, too.

Then there's the one wherein my teeth are crumbling and falling out of my mouth. I wonder if I grind my teeth at night while I sleep...
