OK, I'm slightly irritated. If you'll remember, I have a wee crush on this dude at work. Well, he invited me (OK, and a whole bunch of other people) to have drinks after work tomorrow. Of course, I immediately said I'd be there. Yes, I have class, but I figured I'd go for an hour or so, then go to class. At least I could get one drink in, dazzle him with my intellect and charming wit, then go learn more about the friggin Stamp Act. Then I checked my bank account. How does a woman who is going to be 36 next week and who has a rather well-paying job end up with $2.88 in her checking account just four days after pay day? |
