I had my lunch "date" a few hours ago. It wasn't a date and my fears of being lulled back in to the cogs of the Mason Charm Machine were unwarranted. I am, however, trying to find a gal with whom to fix him up, so if you're looking, drop me a line. The people in my department are just the greatest bunch of peeps ever. Here's the thing...I like cake. But I prefer pie. I especially prefer pie to those overly-sweet bakery cakes that have that sickening frosting. So a few weeks back I was telling the kids in my department this and the fact that, should some meteor hit me on the head and cause a reactionary change in my mind about this whole marriage concept, I would have wedding pie instead of wedding cake at my reception. So what did they get me for my birthday? Why, pie of course. Peach and Apple. God bless 'em. |
