Hey there, kids.

So I spent the weekend in Palm Springs with John. We stayed at a wonderful place called La Mancha Resort and Spa (although their web page is under construction. You can also find info about the place here). We were supposed to have a one-bedroom villa with its own private pool & spa. We got the private pool and spa, but ended up in a two-bedroom villa. Sheesh. And THREE bathrooms. I was sorely tempted to call all of my friends and have them drive out to party with us.

The private pool and spa was just that - very private. Not that I would really care if somebody was so desperate to see a naked body that they would peer through the bushes around my patio (as far as I'm concerned if you're that desperate, go for it), but there was no way anyone would have been able to. Plus, the patio had a wet bar and bar-b-que. I'm telling you - the perfect party place.

The room itself was gorgeous; complete with full kitchen and dining room. We had a fireplace in the living room and one of the bedrooms, a DVD player...even the toiletries were nice.

The grounds were very nice; well-kept and quiet. They have a small driving range and tennis courts (not that we used any of them) AND they served free Mimosas in the lobby (we had to have a couple while waiting to check in).

We each got massages in the spa. With that, on top of spending numerous hours in the hot tub, three bottles of champagne and of course mota...well, I was a big wet rag by the time I got home. VERY relaxing.

I will definitely be going back. In fact, John and I are going again in January, as our Christmas gift to each other. I recommend this place highly. If you're looking for a romantic and/or relaxing get-away, keep this place in mind.

:)
