I feel like seven sacks of shit today. This just ain't fair, I tell you. I only got over that four-month bout with something akin to Tuberculosis like a month ago. I've had one solid month of feeling pretty darn good and now I'm getting a cold. All last week I kept trying to convince myself it was only allergies...well, I'm past convincing myself now. I am getting downright sick. Ergh... I'm going north to visit John this weekend, too. Hopefully I'll be on the mend by then, because I'm liable to freeze my patootie off up there as it is. It would suck to be sick AND freezing. Yeah, so that's the plan. I'm taking Friday off of work, getting my hair colored in the morning and then driving up there. I should get there right about the time John is getting off of work. Groovy. :) John came down this past weekend and we had a nice time, but didn't really do anything monumental. We went to the mall on Saturday where I searched in vain for a pair of shoes that I not only liked but could afford. I found plenty of pairs of boots that I loved, but they are not what I need so I was a good girl and stayed away from them. I am totally the boot queen, as it is. We walked around for a few hours and had lunch/dinner at The Olive Garden (complete with two pitchers of their Sangria - yum!). Then we went home and watched movies. Sunday was spent having breakfast with his son Johnny and then running errands and stuff. Good Lord, my life has been uneventful lately. |
