Boy oh boy was last nights show fun!

I speak, of course, about Americas Next Top Model.

First of allthe shocker! Elyse was voted off during the first half an hour! AAACK! She was the one I picked to win (good thing there was no office pool). For you, the uninitiated, Elyse getting the boot meant that Adrianne and Shannon were left to compete in a New York runway show. Adrianne and Shannon!

Actually, though, Shannon rocked that show and she has shown a lot of growth. Initially, she was really boring; always looked the same and always had that big-toothed smile on her face. She did so well at the runway show, in fact, that it was really a nail-biter when it came down to telling us all who won the whole thing.

And who won??? Adrianne!!! YAY!!!!

Even though I had pegged Elyse to win, I was really happy for Adrianne. Apparently Adrianne and her mother have very little in the way of money and if Adrianne didnt become a model, I dont think she had many options. She really wanted to win this thing. Elyse just entered the contest as a fluke and is now going to Medical School, since she didnt win.

I do think that the only reason Elyse didnt win, though, is because shes smart and kind of snotty about it. Frankly, I think that blows.

I cant believe I am talking about runway shows and crap. You should have seen me last night I actually cheered and clapped when Adrianne won (of course, I did the same thing when Robin was booted last week). Its funny, because three weeks ago it seemed impossible that Shannon would be so close in the running and last night they made it seem like such a close contest; I wasnt sure she wasnt going to win.

Now what the hell am I going to do with the rest of my summer??? Actually, they start repeating Buffy next week and I missed most of the season. Plus, the new season of Gilmore Girls starts in a couple of weeks (damnalready? Where does the time go?) and since they switched Buffys time slot theyre not even going to be opposite one another anymore.

Jesus.

I so need a life.
