Hey there kids! Thanks to those who offered me some helpful hints in regard to my shin pain. All will be taken to heart. I think its interesting that I dont have a problem when, say, hiking through the forest; but the concrete kills me. I think its a sign from God that we shouldnt pave our forests. Groovy news in regard to my fundraising - I am almost half-way to my goal. :) Woo-Hoo! I know at least one person who reads this page has donated - I can't thank you enough. Of course, my thanks don't mean much, but rest assured that your generosity will mean an awful lot to the people who will benefit from it. The Susan G. Komen Foundation is really an awesome organization. You can read about it here. So Amy and I are going to see Mars tonight. Were taking her telescope out to an observation area to gaze at it, along with a lot of other Astronomy-geeks. Im really looking forward to it. There is something very fun about being out in the middle of the night, watching the sky. I have a tendency to go out to the desert during meteor showers and I just find it soI dont even know how to describe it, really. Its exciting, its beautiful, its a lot of fun and it makes you feel a littlesmall. Of course, just the vision of the night sky when youre out in the middle of nowhere, away from city lights, is awesome enough. Now we get to see Mars closer than it has been in several eons and than it will be for another several eons! How lucky are we? Of course, this means I will not be walking with my training group tonight. Sok, though. I will walk for about 5 miles on my own, after work. That should leave me enough time to shower and zoom over to pick up Amy. I havent seen Amy in a long time, so this will not only be a good opportunity to see Mars, but to get caught up with my niece. Last night was an uneventful one around the rad pad. I went home. I ate some tuna on crackers for dinner. I watched Dinner for Five (and why the hell havent they made more of these shows? I have seen every one of them far too many times. Yes - I know Peter Bogdanovich can do impressions of a lot of people, already. Give me some new programming! {Youll notice I still watch, though. I love that show.}). I noticed that my Bell Peppers are finally flowering (yay!). I talked on the phone with John for a while. I communicated with the Kucinich campaign folks over a venue for our meetings, which proved to be more involved and subsequently irritating than it had to be. AndUhthats about it. ~~~ requisite REK-wuh-zit, adjective: Required by the nature of things or by circumstances; indispensable. noun: That which is required or necessary; something indispensable. |
