UhI didnt intend to skip so many days in between writingmy how time gets away from me. Actually, its probably more that if I dont get the time to write while at work, it wont get done. I just dont want to get on a computer once I get home. Im on one all stinkin day. I had a rather frustrating day at work todaywell, actually it was a fine day until the last few hours. I was trying to learn something new creating a report for our bank auditors that has to be generated every month. Our system limitations are just unreal. Long story short, creating this report takes waaaaaaaaaay too long because of the numerous steps you have to go through to create it and there has GOT to be an easier way, systematically. I just need to figure out how we can do it better. Good news is that our department is going out to lunch tomorrow. Its Christinas birthday (actually, her b-day is today) and were also welcoming the two new ladies to our department. Then Wednesday were having a training class and well have lunch brought in that day, so hey two free meals in a week! Sondra borrowed my car Saturday to go do her prison-outreach program in Lancaster. It was returned with no problems, much to my relief. Lou and Jeremy and I went to dinner when he brought back my car. Cracks me up when Jeremy visited for the night a few weeks ago, he was perfectly well-behaved. When we went to dinner, he was back to being his odd self. Whenever his parents are around, he acts like a little shit. Linda and I are going to meet Barbi and Arnett in Utah (at Larry & Peggys) on Sept. 30 and stay there for a few days. Then were stopping in Vegas for two nights on the way home. Should be fun. Linda and I are stopping at Zion Canyon on the way up. Were only staying for one night and she doesnt do much hiking, per se, but it will be nice to see some nature-beauty. It should be a beautiful time of the year to see Utah, anyway. John is so cute. He told me over the weekend that he already has a bunch of restaurants picked out to take me to when I visit him over July 4th weekend. Plus, hes talking about cooking for me while Im there (actually, bar-b-queing). Im really looking forward to going up there. I love that area, plus it will be nice to see him for four days. Im hoping I can see Alissa while Im up there, too. Id like to take her and Olinge to dinner in San Francisco. |
