"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

I had some silly dreams last night (although they may have all been from this morning. I woke up at about 5:30am because I left my little fan on in my room and was freezing by that time. After I turned it off, of course, my sleep was pretty light during the next hour).

One dream was that John surprised me with a trip to Hawaii Oahu, to be exact. I of course was fretting a bit that he was only taking me to one island and it was Oahu of all things. How thankless am I? Anyway, once there we ended up being chased around in the dark I think we were spies or something. And someone ended up dead (neither one of usI think it was one of the other spies who was chasing us, but its kind of a blur).

I also dreamed I was arguing with Leigh G. about his S... account. OK, its no fair when work invades your dreams. Then I had another dream about Bruce Springsteen. I think this time I was in a band who was opening for him on tour. I just had a dream about him recently, but that was more like I was getting involved with himand this gal with whom I went to High School (and who is now married to Lionel Richie) was in it for some reason

Im having a problem registering for Creative Writing. They keep saying I havent taken the English Placement exam. Well, yes I did like eighteen years ago! My assumption is that they dont have my transcripts, yet, although Citrus has cashed my check so they better have mailed them. Ill check again in like a week. I assume I wont have any problems registering for it so close to the actual first day of school usually Creative Writing is not exactly difficult to get in to. Its just kind of funny because Ive taken SO many English classes and even CW like three times before

I made my appt. with the Urologist next Wed.

I havent even mentioned, I dont think, that Andy Damico died last weekend. He was the Asst. Credit Mgr. for like the last year I was at x... His funeral is tomorrow morning, so Ill be going to that. The viewing is this evening, butuhI think Ill skip looking at the dead guy in the casket. Why do people even do that anyway? I guess its therapeutic for the familyI guess. Frankly, I have no desire to see my loved ones that way. Id rather remember them the way they were in life, not lifeless and in a box, soon to be lowered in to the ground. Ick. Anyway, Im very sad about Andy. Actually, its probably better for him this cancer tore him up. He was just diagnosed like a year ago, cuz it was right before I quit (I left while he was first out on disability, in fact). It was in his blood stream and therefore very difficult to get rid of. The last thing he had done was a bone marrow transplant, just a couple of months ago. What sucks is that evidently the cancer was finally gone, but all of his various treatments had just torn him apart and he slipped in to a coma a couple of weeks ago, then passed away last weekend. I feel very bad for his wife. Shes only like in her early-50s, I seem to recall. Plus, she was always emotionally fragile anyway, from what I gathered. Ive never net her, but Andy used to talk to me a lot. He was my buddy at x. He was a very generous person and funny and warm. Also, he was a great boss, in my book. He wanted the job done and he could be a hard ass, but only if he had to be and who can argue with that? He was also very approachable and I could just go in his office and vent, cussing up a storm or whatever. He was realty the first boss Ive had where I felt completely free to do that sort of thing just be totally free to let off steam, knowing it would never leave his office or be held against me. Ill miss him a lot, but I hope hes found the peace he deserves.

I am way bummed cuz Id really like to go out tonight, but I have absolutely NO money. Life sucks when youre po.

When did disrespect become a VERB???????!!!!!! This is one my pet peeves. Hey, you disrespected me! "Don't disrespect me by doing that!"

Good Lord, please
