Happy Monday...yeah...yippee... I have a mid-term in my work-related class tonight and am in a panic. I am not in the least prepared for this test. Plus...ya'll know how much I hate this class. So not only do I have to study, I have to study something I hate. This is a perfect example of the kind of instances in my life which make me wish I was a hell of a lot more disciplined than I am. So my weekend...Friday night I went to history class and was rather bummed as we did not get our mid-terms back from the teacher. Seems she "forgot" to bring them with her. Dammit! Anyway, Saturday morning I went to my monthly hair appointment. Jeri worked some magic on my hair and fixed last month's fuck up, so I am now back to my "real" color. :) Jeri's funny; she's all excited about this new guy she's been seeing for two months. He sounds nice. She has dated some tremendous losers, so it's nice to see her going out with a decent person. Because of her history though, she's super-cautious about the whole thing and won't make any plans for even a few weeks down the road, let alone like Christmas or anything. Anyway, so she tells me she wants to fix me up with her boyfriend's friend...who's 30 years old. Whatever. If he wants to try it, even after finding out how stinkin' old I am, I'll give it a shot. We can at least just go have fun as a foursome for one night. Even if I don't like him, Jeri and I will have something to laugh about. So after my die job I ran a few errands, cleaned the pad a little and just chilled for a few hours until John arrived. Things were kind of crazy the whole time John was in town. He was going to see his sons/grandson on Sunday and I was spending the day with my family. So we just ended up running around like crazy people, trying to get 8 million things done in the twenty-four hours he was here. Therefore, we didn't get to spend enough time together. So no, Karen didn't get enough sex this weekend. So no, Karen is not in a very good mood today. John did tell me he's going to be a Grandpa for the second time. His oldest son, Robert, and Robert's wife are having their second kid. (John's seven years older than me, by the way. He had his first son when he was twenty; that son had his first when he was twenty.) My family day yesterday was fun. Sister Linda made pasta (she makes the best pasta ever). I was a bad, bad girl because I was actually supposed to go over to her house early, so I could help her. Well...I got way laid by John (*ahem* pun intended) and so I was late and didn't get to help her as much as I would have ordinarily. Nothing of monumental proportions happened, except that Mark and his boys showed up, which was pert-near miraculous. I think I've seen him once since Christmas. Barbi made three very yummy desserts and I brought home doggie bags. :) Oh yeah and the Angels won the second game of the World Series. :) Crazy-ass game, too. |
