Oh, and also...some of you may recall the numerous questions I had after the shooting of an El Al Israel Airlines Ticket Agent at LAX back on July 4. Well, recently there was a fascinating little ditty buried in an edition of the L.A. Times. It seems that a local man named Nimrod Hen died on Tuesday, November 26, of injuries sustained in a car accident he was in ten days prior. OK, since the man is dead I won't make fun of his name... I find this interesting because it turns out that Mr. Hen was the brother of Victoria Hen. Victoria was was the young ticket agent that was allegedly gunned down by Hesham Mohamed Hadayet at LAX. According to the article, Hen was probably only traveling at about 35 mph, the posted speed limit. His passenger was said to be "recovering at home with cuts and bruises" and Nimrod himself "was alert and talking to family members immediately after the crash." The Times article says that he "suffered severe injuries," though the only one mentioned was "crushed legs" which, to my knowledge, isn't normally life-threatening. After being taken to the hospital, "his condition quickly deteriorated." Ten days later, he was dead. Odd, isn't it? LAPD Captain Greg Meyer thought so. He said: "This is just inconceivable that you could lose both a son and a daughter to separate tragedies." Horrible coincidence? Maybe. |
